God is Good!
On our way to Georgia, we planned to meet Don’s parents for lunch near Brooksville, Florida. While caught in stop & go traffic, the truck in front of us stopped suddenly. We were not able to stop before rear-ending them at about 5 mph. Well, fiberglass does not hold up well to steel. There wasn’t any damage to the truck we hit, but one of the passengers complained of neck pain, so we had to call the police. We praise God that there was only cosmetic damage to our Freightliner, so we “duct-taped” the fiberglass and went on our way. When we arrived at Source of Light Ministries in GA, a friend from Trinity Baptist Church, who just happens to own a fiberglass repair business, offered to fix the hood of our truck. “I like a challenge” he said. So, Chuck spent many evenings and weekends repairing and painting the hood of our truck during his “free time”. What a blessing this was to us! The total cost was about $150 for materials. Another praise was that no points were charged to Don’s CDL license, even though we had to pay a fine for “careless driving”. We praise the Lord for His protection, that we weren’t going faster, that we didn’t hit a car, that the vehicle damage was repairable and that no one was seriously hurt. God is good...All the time! |

Relationships
We have done our best to recap the highlights of our past year of ministry in chronological order. While we serve the Lord with our hearts and hands, God has shown us that it is not the work we do that is important, rather it is all about relationships. Primarily, our relationship with God through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We need Jesus more than He needs us! Yet, we never take for granted the people God has placed in our lives. We cherish our visits with long-time friends and we enjoy making new friends. Sharing joys, heartaches and struggles with others has been a real blessing. We need each other! Even though distance often separates us from our friends and family, please know you are always in our hearts & prayers. |
