Don installed downspouts and trim and did other finishing touches to a new equipment shed. He also helped prefabricate and paint parts for a steel building to be sent to a hospital compound in Chad, Africa. Don helped to load the shipping container with the parts which will be a new ward building, as well as other materials and items needed to finish the staff house and clinic.

We were asked to go to Chad once the container was shipped to help erect the new ward building and finish the clinic building. We lacked the funds necessary to travel to Chad, but Don agreed to go, without Christine, trusting the Lord to provide, which of course He did.

Source of Light Ministries - Madison, Georgia

March & April† 2008

We seem to have made Source of Light Ministries (SLM) a regular stop in our ministry travels. We love to serve there because the people make us feel so at home. This year, we led another work group from Cornerstone Bible Church and Treasure Coast Baptist Church (TCBC), on a project to remodel a modular home for a new couple. The amazing part is that this couple is directly related to one of our previous work teams. Pastor Eddie Hill told his parents about SLM. After visiting and praying, Peggy & Ernie Hill decided to join SLM and will be living in the remodeled staff house. Christine provided three meals a day for the group with help from one of the team members. What made this all worthwhile, was the look on the faces of Ernie & Peggy when they arrived. It was like an Extreme Makeover Home Edition TV show! They actually didn't recognize the house when they first arrived. We praise the Lord for allowing us to have a part in this project.

mulch throughout the playground . This nearly doubled the size of the play area which is used for the Day Care.† Don also cleaned out the rain gutters, put new doors on the pump house, ran cable for their computer network, and repaired chairs in the worship hall.

Also, several weeks were spent remodeling Phil Winderís house in Fort Pierce, FL, so he and his family can sell it to go into ministry full-time with Source of Light Ministries in Madison, GA. The Winders were led into full-time ministry through a short term mission trip!
