Summer 2008

Cornerstone Bible Church

We currently have our “home” parked at Cornerstone Bible Church in Nescopeck, PA. We helped with their Vacation Bible School this year and did some maintenance projects around the church. Don has also done some remodeling at the Berwick Youth Center.

Chad - West Africa

May 2008

Don spent almost three weeks in Chad, West Africa, on a project for TechServe Intl., to put up a building for a medical ministry. The container which Don helped load in AR last fall, was stuck in Customs and did not arrive on site until

three days after Don left to come home. However, it was not a wasted trip since he was able to work on several electrical problems, move and set up two generators, and complete some work on the staff house and the clinic.  Of course Don also worked on building some new relationships.

It has been a while since we have been able to go on any overseas projects due to the cost of travel. This trip cost over $2500.00 between the airfare and the visa. We praise the Lord for those who made this trip possible both through prayer and financial donations.

Child Evangelism Fellowship

This summer we spent four weeks working with the CEF Camp Good News for Luzerne, Columbia and Montour Counties. Don drove the church bus to pick up kids and we were the camp missionaries for one of the weeks.

The electrical division of TechServe Int’l in Montoursville, PA split off to become an independent ministry. They are now I-TEC, (International - Technical Electric Construction). We have been commuting just over an hour between Cornerstone Bible Church and I-TEC this summer helping with their reroofing and wiring projects. We will also be helping with their new RV Park which is being built for missionaries and volunteers.  Don also plans to help I-TEC this fall with hurricane disaster relief efforts as needed.

Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest” Matthew 9:37, 38
